Wow that's pretty cool. I'd get one if it weren't for having to get it developed, paying the high price for the cam and film, and not being able to see what I shoot on a LCD screen.

Haha, yea. And I love how they rant and rave about their own product being "the same price as a dv camera" when the Classic 16 film camera is available for $2,000, a third of the price as this Ikono.

It is the same price as a dv camera (XL2).
It also does come with a viewfinder, and there are lcd viewfinders available to convert. For the price it's a steal.

You guys shouldn't bash it without reading first like I did. Check the FAQ.

its just not worth to buy a s16 cam unless you are doing jobs like music videos/shortfilms/feature films (paid).

No one else wants to pay for the development.

say you shoot a 10min short (6:1 RATIO). You would pay 1000$+ for film negative and developing the film/scanning to DV.
