INTER-CAST/CREW RELATIONSHIPS!

*dun*dun*dun*...

That's right. This last spring I was shooting a film that called for some very personal "close-ups" between my two main characters. There was lots of kissing on set and a little foreplay offset, including the main actor and actress in my film taking a long detour on the way back to the studio after a shoot to play "padiddle", a game in which you remove a piece of clothing every time you spot a vehicle missing a headlight.

The chemistry they were creating on set was not only amusing for me to watch as a director but added to the production value of the film. And believe me, these two could ACT! In fact, if I didn't know any better I'd swear they'd practiced that kiss before getting on the set...

So, anyone else have any cool or interesting interpersonal relationship drama they'd like to share that happened on set?

We were doing casting calls for a drama we were going to shoot in a few months, and one girl was very outspoken about wanting to do the romance scene (read: making out for a good 2 minutes on-screen, which reads: about 20 minutes making out on-camera for editing). It wouldn't be particularly noteworthy, however (and I'm a guy, so) she's really attractive (read: slim, large knockers and a cute face) and I was casted as the main character she'd have to make out with. And she KNEW IT.

(read: I'm a quiet, lonesome fellow who doesn't usually get the women so I felt this was a time to share a life-altering experience. How sad. I think I'll go write a power ballad.)
