Have you read What They Don't Teach You In Film School?

I thought the content was pretty good. It wasn't a nuts and bolts read, but more like some useful film industry tips of the trade.

I am currently reading this book. It's a very interesting book so far and like it is previously stated, it's more of useful tips mixed with some comedy. Once completed, I will post more on it.

Now that I have finished reading this book, I would like to comment more on it.

Ok first what the book isn't.

It isn't a book that will take you step by step, hand by hand, on what you need to do if you do not attend a film school.

It doesn't list you should do this or you shouldn't do that.

It doesn't say this school is better than this school because of this reason.

It doesn't give you a false hope that going to film school is something you can do without.

The things it does is..

It does give examples of what you may experience whether you attend film school or not.

It does bring comedic relief.

It does give you insight on things you can look forward to if you are on a crew, production company, become a director, D.P, etc

It does bring an excitement to reading a book about film.

I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading and needs some insight on what goes on when dealing with film.

Just my two ladies and gentlemnen.

I just purchased this book, and have greatly enjoyed reading it!
Even though I hope and plan to go to film school, since I'm currently just a high school student it was an interesting read.
