Jayimess correct me if i am wrong, you are in an mfa program right? is your friend of your same age or straight out of highschool. Just out of curiosity. I was wondering more to find out what the age range is for people who go cold turkey.

Jayimess, did your friend who's staying with you go to college?

I guess we've all agreed on the fact that it's all about networking and determination. But if one takes the college route, does the prior statement mean that certain colleges should be considered over others, like USC over BU?

There is no clear cut winner. Successes come to those who go to school and those who don't, and while these circular debates are fun, unfortunately, there simply is no right answer.

What program did your frind get in? And, is it possible to take so much internships with only month after the start? I am just curious

Have a look at this article that list several different methods of 'breaking in'.

In the end it will all depend on you whichever route you choose. There are no direct paths.
