I'm sick of movies putting stuff all the way after the credits.
The Matrix Revolutions preview was after the credits of Reloaded.
That dumb scene at the end of the credits of the first Fast and the Furious movie.
This is just to name a few.
It's too much trouble to sit through any bad music selections and all that scrolling text. I know they want an "easter egg" for only the true fans to find; but I think it's time to give it a break. If it's cool - put it at the beginning of the credits maybe? I know that kind of defeats the purpose, but my friend made me sit through the hour-long credits in the latest Matrix movie just to watch a 30-second trailer.
I thought the trailer was cool - but did I really have to wait?
Sorry, I'm ranting.

I have to say, I love the ending stuff. Not so much the Matrix, but most. The all time classic is "Ferris Buelers Day Off" The "What are you doing here? The movies over. Go home. Go on." Just me. I wait for the DVD and fast forward to them though. R. M.

The problem is ((structure)). You can't end a film then cut directly to some trailer. It doesn't work from a structural point of view, people veiwing the film will assume it's still part of the film. Besides people involved with the film want people to see their names as soon as the film ends. Just the way it is.

I really don't understand why you're complaining. If you don't want to make the commitment to stay, then you don't see the additional scene / trailer / whatever. It's entirely your choice.
after-credits presentations are wonderful. If you're courteous enough to sit through the credits and give the crew some respect for their work, then you will be rewarded. It's a way of saying "thank you".
I agree with Alan. If you haven't seen PIRATES of the CARRIBEAN, then remember to stay through those credits too. There is a little surprise at the end.

The matrix credits were EXCESIVE. AND the trailer sucked. I normally stay for the credits, but in the case of the matrix, I would have left If I hadn't known about the trailer. Plus, the text of the credits was so squashed and badly aligned that you couldn't read any of the names anyway.

Dammit!!!! I left right when the credits came on!!!!! I am going to stay when the credits come on now.
You know you don't have to stay. I searched google and found a message board or something where a guy tells what happens after the credits. It's not worth sitting through that thing again just to see that extra joke.
Whats the big deal. Credits arent that long, and if you are sociable and have friends its not that bad to sit in the theater for a few extra minutes with them to see something cool. Does everyone have ADD or something and cant sit their seat to wait a little while?? Geez..
