I'm 20, completed a two year hnd practical film and television production course training as camera operator, sound recordist, directing televison, editing, lighting and producing. I want to continue to degree level to meet with contacts but I think education is slightly overrated. I live in Edinburgh, Scotland though. I wouldn't be saying this if in the states as they have some fantastic looking courses and a much larger industry. Maybe one day if practical, I'll be in America working, I'd like that. In the meantime, I'm searching for work while doing some freelance work. It's extremely tough here to find any work but I think training on the job and learning on my own combined will work best to my advantage.
