ugh, i hate smokers (no offense to any who might read this)

I don't smoke, but I wish that I did. Film majors look so cool when they smoke.

I'd prefer to live as long as possible, so, no I don't smoke.

i smoke to make my movies look cool, it adds atmosphere. just kidding. if i've got a deadline to meet, i'll light up, but usually i'm fairly smoke free.

I smoked cigarettes, but only when smoking grass. That way, for me atleast, I don't get cravings for more cigarettes, it was just a way to get a higher buzz. Funny thing, I'm lactose intollerant (sp?), which means I can't eat dairy products without a little pill otherwise I'll get a bad stomach ache, but if I was high and ate dairy products, I never got stomach problems, no matter how much ice cream I ate!

Mind over matter

I don't smoke, but I would if it weren't for the whole cancer/disease/death thing. Smoking is cool and it makes you feel relaxed. I have a hookah though, which I smoke socially. I consider smoking a mild vice, so I have no problem with smokers. Actually I think people who hate smokers are bigoted because they hate out of ignorance. But back to smoking. No, but I would if it weren't so poinsonous.

i hate smokers for their inconsiderance of others. second hand smoke kills. if smoking only killed the people that did it i'd feel sorry for them, like i do for druggies. but it kills me too.

i'm proud of everyone here who said they don't want to smoke. its refreshing to kids other than myself avoiding this sort of thing.

Don't take this persoanally, im not a smpker myself, but i get the feeling that the gases from all of the cars in our world are causing us alot more heatlth problems than those of smokers.

Never smoked, never did a drug, never drank anything alcholoic, exercise regularly, eat minimal junk food . . . wow, I sound like a health nut.

But seriously, just being within the radius of a smoker gives me a head ache.
And for those of you who get high, can you answer a question that's been puzzling me for years?
Why do you put yourself at risk by numbing your ability for rational thought?
I can't stop you from doing drugs, but man I sure hate it when people do talk about it. It doesn't make sense to me. Why? Why? Oh WHY!?
You may not feel the immediate affects, but it is killing you. Your brain cells are dying every time you do it. What if you decided to get in a car while high, aren't you at a higher risk?
Anyways, I'm done, if anyone can give me a good reason why they get high, I'll . . . give them 20 points. . .

(It will be like "Who's line is it anyway?"! The points won't matter!

You're right. That makes it all okay.

I've been known to smoke a cigar on certain special occasions. Or maybe a pipe.

But I would never think of smoking a cigarette.

With cigars or pipes, you don't inhale (or at least I don't), and you smoke them for the taste and the pleasure.

Cigarettes are just gross, plain and simple. and they're addictive, so they kill you.

You cant just hate smokers, and group them all into one category. Just because they are smokers doesnt make them *** holes. My dad smokes, but he only smokes outside.

Just because people smoke doesnt make them bad people, its an addiction.

I feel that there is no reasonable or justified reason to smoke. I see nothing wrong with grouping smokers into one category, because I think it's so painfully obvious what it does to you that anybody who keeps smoking is either irresponsible, ignorant, or just plain stupid. They're not bad people because I don't think they are intentionally trying to hurt others, but they are irrational and nonsensical. I find the act of smoking to be thoroughly absurd.

a good point ktabes. let me de-generalize. i hate smokers who smoke anywhere near me (including outdoor public events) and i hate smokers who leave their cigarettes on the ground. i do not hate your dad

My dad used to smoke. My whole family didn't like it (mom, sister, and myself). He would try to hide that he smoked by hiding his cigs. in my room so that whenever my mom cleaned it would look like it was mine. That made me mad. But now he has quit and i'm glad.
