Everyone has commited crimes. It's just how big of a crime you have commited.
I don't have a criminal record, no. But I have DEFINITELY broken the law. I've been held at gunpoint by a police officer, yes. But there were too many people for him to cuff all of us. Fortunately, he let us go and didn't charge us with anything.
Those were back in my glory days, when getting into trouble and being mischievious was the only way to have fun. (come on, you guys all remember those days, right? and if you're not old enough, you will someday experience this)
And I'm not a creep. I haven't done anything MOST of you have probably haven't done before too. It just so happens that we got caught once. But we didn't get in trouble, so it's all cool!
When I was in 5th grade, I got expelled b/c I was helping my friend look up porn. He was typing it in and looking at it, and 5 other people(including me) made a human wall around him so he wouldn't get caught. So, didn't get into trouble w/ the cops, but I did break the law.

I totally agree. I trespassed on my neighbors lawn once when I hit a ball over the fence when I was 5 years old. That was definately breaking the law...as I always say, "on the road of life, we are all trespassers." (this is kind of explains the origin of my student film name)
I've made prank phone calls to my film teacher and then drew a giant penis on his classroom door (2 years ago) but I got caught and was put on probation for 6 months.
I've tagged a few walls with my friends (I suck though )
when I was really really young me and a few friends were spray painting crap on a bridge by my house, stupid things like, "I love Nicki" or whoever my 4th grade crush was. Crush...haha, who uses that word anymore? But I got caught when this jerk started chasing us, so we hid in my friends backyard....he found us and told us to clean up the grafitti. So I just painted over it again.
I've smoked herb in places your not supposed to. Elementary schools, public parks, ect. Never been caught for that though, well almost one time, but they didn't find it on us. Stupid vice principals.
Ive been caught filming in alley ways and abandoned houses with fake guns and the sorts.
I've stollen a couple bikes.
And I've stollen numerous candy bars, sodas, lighters, ect at the 99 cent store. God forbid I pay.
i've done one or two other HUGE things, but I can't risk exposing them.

trespassing, pirated software (all clean now ), filming public transit stations without a licensee, photographing secure areas (airports) for educational use only, etc. never been caught as, of course, no one cares about those things.

When I was in Tanzania, I made the mistake of filming some soldiers and a government installation (even though I was told not to). I don't think anyone saw me, though. Otherwise I would've been shot on-site.
I don't mean the sissy stuff involving the internet or whatever. LOL!
Hey! I was in 5th grade dude..lol...I was small to be part of that stuff!

Eh, I drove without my license once, but that was by mistake, and I didn't get caught.
And I trapeze throughout my neighbor's yards all the time. They seem to think its funny when I jump over the wall in a single bound (I'm 6'2"). I got in trouble once for using airsoft guns out in public, but other then that I'm clean.

you may be able to get off on a lesser charge of involuntary and spontaneous (as opposed to premeditated) newspaper stand theft.

Is it a crime to MOVE the newspaper stand? Cause it would be really funny to go out one day and start moving newspaper stand around, putting them in wierd places.

yeah, it is. Because newspaper companies have to get permits to put their newspaper stands in specific places. If you move them, you could be unknowingly violating their permit. On a project I helped Nota Mono on for his school, I went to a city utility yard and they had a bunch of newspaper stands that they removed because they were in the wrong spot. I asked them for one and they gave it to me. Technically, it belonged to the LA Times. But the city of Santa Monica had removed it over a year ago and it was left unclaimed. It had to be purple, so I painted it and it eventually got donated to his school.
Those are the only two newspaper stand stories I have. Honest.
...and most stands are at least bolted down and sometimes chained. So you gotta unbolt and cut the chain to take them. It's a little more involved than just getting a buddy and moving them around.
The worst that's happened to me is getting yelled at by our Mayor, lol. Me and a few of my buddies were skating downtown, and the Mayor flipped out on us, and none of my buddies were gonna talk, so I got stuck doing all the talking, lol. The funny thing is, we weren't really doing anything, just skating in an empty parking lot.
I've gotten something like 7 tickets totalling 1000$ for an illegal exhaust system on my car, and 500$ ticket for doing 120km/h in a 30 zone! hehe! Cops are always around to hassle us for BS but never around when people really need them! Cops are dicks!
