I'm 20... and politically apathetic, although I lean more towards libertarian, if you had to pin a label on it. Like I said, Seinfeld and the Simpsons are the two best comedies of the 1990s. Family Guy doesn't even begin to compare.

I think Family Guy is funny . . . jsut not AS funny as Simpsons. If I had to choose the funniest cartoon, it would have to be the Simpsons. Rarely I crack a smile during Family Guy, but they have their great moments.

Yeah, Simpsons is great. And so is South Park.
I just saw an add for that American dad show, starting this thursday. It looks funny.
Just out of curiousity, what time does Letterman start in the US. It's called the Late Show, but how late? It starts at 12:30 over here most nights.

That American dad show was funny. I like how he stole that girls purse. Big Grin Ah, cartoons. Where would we be without them?

I will never understand why people think Conan is funny. I've never seen anything so painfully unfunny in my life.

Wasn't Conan a writer for The Simpsons at one point?

Yes. Whatever contribution he made there must have worked better in an animated context, or (my guess) other writers wrote the funny parts.

He did write the Monorail episode (which is considered a classic episode, if I remember correctly), as well as create the Sea Captain character. That's what a quick wiki search brought up. I imagine he's written quite a few other classics, and credited with quite a few other additions to the show.

yeah, the monorail episode has Matt Groenings all thime favorite simpsons quote ("icall the big one bitey!") and he wrote for snl, i seen him in a few snl episdodes, most prominantly when he put on tom hanks jacket for the 5 timers club. but yeah i think conan is pretty good, self depricated comedy. I think Leno is by far the worst evening show host ever, just not funny at all. same with letterman. conan isnt as good anymore, i think jon stewarts the best now, but all time was old letterman in the 80's like when he would drop **** off a 5 story tower and steamroll barbies dreamhouse, classic

Connan is a huge talent. The guests in his show become secondary. He steals the show evreyday.

But jon stewart is the man.I love the way he destroys his conservative guests: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n8JCFgVyfFw&mode=related&search=
