And it's also strange that a girl that has a multi millionaire father, she goes and has an abortion. All stereotyping. That's all you're doing.

Tresspasser, I guess you will only think abortion is just simply a fetus. Thats all it is to you. And that abortion won't make it in pain. But of course, it will never feel what pain is anyways.

Ladies and gentlemen...today we have dean martin and jerry lewis going to camp with us...Jerry tells the jokes, dean sings the songs and gets the girls...lets have a big round of applause!~~~Remember The Titans

I understand the situation your giving, Trepasser. but the fact of the matter is, that's not the majority case. And it is still possible to put the child up for adoption.

The question is not whether or not the embryo feels pain. Its whether or not that embryo is a human, underdeveloped or not. Should we knock off mentally challenged because their brains are underdeveloped?

Abortion is not the answer. Murder is not the answer.

I don't quite understand that sentence, but I assure you that your generalization is incorrect. Abortion is a decision that has negative consequences no matter what. In a perfect society it would never have to be done, but we don't live in that society and we never will. If we outlaw abortion it will not stop it from happening, it will only lead to more drastic, illegal methods. Hell, why not outlaw smoking? It kills millions every year too (admittingly not nearly the amount of abortiosn per year). Of course abortion is going to be used irresponsibley by people of affluency, it's inevitable. Listen, you have your opinion, I have mine, but mine is based on analyzing numerous outlets of research and formulating reasonable conclusions. Abortion is about more than killing, there's a huge psychological aspect involved that you don't seem to grasp.

Forsaken,

I wish it wasn't the answer either. But for a lot of people, it is. If we could fix it so those people didn't have to make such decisions, I'd be all for it. I refer to my last post about the perfect society. I wish abortion didn't have to exist as much as you do. But it does, and probably always will, and until we can start fixing those problems that cause it, my opinion is that abortion should be a right because of the factors I've mentioned previously.

And you jsut made it worse with your attacks. (I'm not condoning, filmmakers post).

So accordign to you, one second, the baby is an embryo, okay to be aborted. Then the next second, it is a fetus, not okay to be aborted.

Trespasser, I know we can't stop abortions from happening now. I wish the method had never been created. And I know that more likely then not that's what we're gonna have to live with. But that doesn't make it right.
I'll do everything in my power, yes this one insignificant person in a world full of billions of people, and even smaller when compared to the universe, is going to do everything in his power to try and stop it.
Jsut because we are forced to live with a situation, doesn't mean we can't do anything to change it.
It is that kind of mindset that would have stopped America from being founded, would have stopped blacks from gaining their freedom, would have stopped so many other good things from happening.
Maybe, just maybe if I fight it long enough and get more and more people on my side a change will happen.
That's the fight I'm carrying here and now on this forum. And I hope I can convince enough people to join in.

Noirboy, it might do you some good to watch a feel good film. Watching all those depressing movies you msut be watching are starting to callous your brain and feelings. And that will only give you a very depressing presentation of yourself, you'll also start to feel sick, tired, and very grumpy.

BTW- your post was very hard to intrepret. Have you considered the "enter" button? Paragraphs are supposed to start with a new idea.

BTW- No disney movie has ever dealt with abortion, so its kind of impossible to relate abortion to a Deisney movie.

NOTE: Hey, Forsaken, I think you probably are looking at an unrefreshed window. I deleted that post a while before you posted.
To anybody reading Forsaken's last post and wondering if he lit up before replying or something, he's posting in response to a post I deleted, that Disney stuff isn't as out-of-the blue as it seems. And whether I refer to it as a "fetus" or an "embryo" does not change my stance on abortion.
Actually, good buddy, I love feel-good movies. Garden State was one of my favorite movies of 2004. If you were checking my "favorite movies" list for ammo, those are movies that I feel accurately represent the kinds of films I want to make, not the only ones I watch. I'm not even going to go into that "calloused brain" bull, save for saying that it was a cheap shot at being condescending. This is about abortion.
And now on with my post:

Ooh, that sent shivers up and down my spine, dude. You should write speeches for **** Cheney, that guttural growl of his would go perfectly with that stuff.
Abortion isn't murder. The unlawful killing of one human by another, especially with premeditated malice is murder. Unless you've got one angry mommy and daddy maliciously aborting a fetus just because they can, it's simply preemptively aborting a fetus before birth. And don't try that "fetuses have rights, too" bull. If I was conceived in Japan and born in America, I'm an American because that's where I was when I was physically born, i.e., you are not considered a human being with a nationality until you crown. I think this link pretty much does it for me:

What attacks forsaken? I don't consider my statements attacks, I consider them more as defending my opinion. Excellent link noirboy, thank you.

3.) "To impose a law defining a fetus as a "person," granting it rights equal to or superior to a woman's — a thinking, feeling, conscious human being — is arrogant and absurd. It only serves to diminish women."

Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends

I seen ya around for a long long time
I really remember you when you drank my wine

Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends

I'd seen ya walkin' down in Chinatown
I called ya but you could not look around

Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends

I pay my money to the welfare line
I see ya standing in it every time

Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends

The color of your skin don't matter to me
As long as we can live in harmony

Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends

I'd kinda' like to be the president
So I could show you how your money's spent

Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends

Sometimes I don't speak right
But yet I know what I'm talking about

Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends

I know you're working for the CIA
They wouldn't have you in the mafia

Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends

Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends

Sorry, trespass, that "attacks" thing was intended for noirboy and his Disney reference.

Yeah, I must of just opened up the screen right before Noir edited.

I was jsut trying to be clever back, noir. Wink
I didn't mean the whole calloused thing for a personal attack. I just thought: ooh, he's goign to be clever with disney eh? I'll show him.
But apparently it failed.

**** Chenney, **** chenney . . . hey that is fun!

We have different definitons for the same thing guys. That's all it is. Or society quickly needs to find out whether or not that embryo is human. (Whether it feels pain or not, or is mentalyl underdeveloped).
I believe it is human, because it is a living thing produced by man and woman.

Diminish women? man, how far has a society come? so either way, according to that logic, either the woman or the baby loses its rights. Just don't DO IT in the first place! Good Lord this is frustrating.

No one knows how they would react or what they would do, think or feel until they are put in this position. Everyone says they are for or against. But it's not quite that easy, kids. I have a beautiful baby boy that my wife and I could have chose to abort. I'm thankful we didn't. He was born 7 weeks early with a hole in his heart and Downs Syndrome. He spent 44 long days in NICU. But he's a fighter and I'm going to give him the best life possible. Sorry for the ramble-- my point is--if you're ever faced with the decision- all you can do is pray and do your best to make the right choice. For you and your child.

Peace!!
