I need to add:

Rex Stetson - PILLOW TALK

And any other Rock Hudson character from the old Doris Day movies. Hmm. I wonder what he was thinking about when he was kissing Doris?

No, I don't want to know!

I'm suprised nobody said Cady from Cape Fear! That was an awesome movie. Oh and also anything with John Belushi (probably spelled it wrong).

Holy cow, Vantango - I'm embarrassed. CAPE FEAR is one of my favorite movies (the original) and Robert Mitchum was awesome as Max Cady.

"Counselor, you're daughter is growing up to be a right fine young woman. Yessir, she's lookin' real juicy."

Or something like that. He played a real creepy role and played it well!

Anything Mitchum does is awesome, because he was the real deal.

Did we say Charles Bronson in general yet? Because he rocks too.

Besides some that have been mentioned,
-Pretty much anything Sean Connery has ever done
-Tyler Durden from Fight Club
-Morgan Freeman on Shawshank Redemption
-Robin Williams on Dead Poet Society
-Han Solo (when SW first came out... I was young! though I kinda liked Chewbacca for some reason)
-The Mask was kinda cool, I thought...
-And I can't pick my favorite DeNiro (no, not Taxi Driver).

And some more that will come to mind as soon as I hit "Post Now"

E.

I originally voted for Dirty Harry, but after watching that Happy Days reunion I'm thinking maybe I should've gone the Fonz. He was extremely cool.
Also, not sure if anyone has mentioned Robert Duvall in "Apocalype Now" yet. He was the best thing about that film.

Kurt Russell as Snake Pliskin in Escape from New York. Although I've also gotta go with Dennis Hopper and ol Jacky in Easy Riders. That was an awesome movie.

Micheal Cain in get carter.
Sgt Shultz in Hogans Hero's (way cool Smile)
Chevy Chase in Fletch

But the all time coolest there ever was or ever will be (and I can't for the life of me work out why no one has mentioned this before now)

Steve McQueen in Bullitt.

I think it is time for a new poll, best ever car chase.
