I am a junior highschooler and my film teacher gave my class a challenge this. Film an orange so that it has no pores. I am on an extremely tight budget and wondered what the expert advice would be for this.

That's kind of a vague puzzle of a challenge. I don't really get the point of it.

Why don't you just shoot it from across a room or something so you can't see the pores? The closer you get, the more likely you're going to see some detail.

Keep it moving, spinning, and get as close as you want...the texture will be a blur.

film an orange object, seems like its asking you to look outside the box, why not film an orange person running around (body paint doesnt cost that much if you look in the right places)

If you use really soft light, the pores will be less obvious at least... Though I don't really think he'd expect you to know about hard/soft light in Junior High. Unless it's an advanced video class?

Film an orange and than use a blur effect on the editing program. haha
Or, just take an orange paper- (or something)
I agree with Rob's idea.
