I have problems with blur/slight slow mo affect that looks really terrible in 24p mode. Did i set a setting wrong? please give feedback. Thanks!

chek your shutter setting. might be it

I keep messing with it. Tizzy, do you film with the cinelook off? For day light shooting what is the idea shutter setting. I'm getting blur like a mo fo.

Hmmm very odd. Yes I shoot with cine-like gamma on and that really should not effect the "blur". Might I ask if you have the dvx100 or dvx100a? I know the 100a has some slow shutter speeds the first does not.

As for me depending on what im doing I might actually shut off the shutter. In lower light you can set it at 1-24 which lets in a bit more light but gives a wierd trailing effect that screams "video". Ideal depends on what you want to do. You can always crank up the shutter a tad to limit light coming in (BTW you can set it all the way to 1-1000 which gives a very cool "Saving Private Ryan/Gladiator" 45o lens effect.Especially when zooming in and out)
