Does anyone know where I might find some free, uncopyrighted film music for a 1950's horror film i'm working on? Any help appreciated. | ||

i'm not quite sure how public domain works, but old silent movies like Vampyr, Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, and Nosferatu are all in it. I'm assuming their soundtracks would be as well. | |||

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Public_domain read - the only way you will find public domain music is if you find it marked as such by the author. Try archive.org, or get someone to score it for you. The sound you are looking for probably involves a theremin, look into finding public domain audio of one of those, or just rent one and screw around. theyre really easy to just play (although incredibly hard to master).Good luck!
