The first time I used one was shooting my very first short (two years ago). It had a 'foot' so that you could sit it in an upright position without falling over. The 'foot' kept hitting my legs as I walked and I hated it. Either I wasn't holding far enough from my body or something, because I re-did many shots that day!

But regardless, I saw the possibilities and bought a Steadi-Tracker Pro Max from a local filmmaker and used it some on my doc this past summer, but I have nothing online. It's works "OK" and does NOT have the dreaded 'foot'! I probably haven't used it as much as I could/should.

I haven't used a steadi-cam so I don't have a point of comparison. The local that I bought the Tracker from sold it to me cheap - because he wanted a steadi-cam!

Good luck.

I've got a SteadyTracker. I love it, but that "foot" can be annoying at times. It is removable, though, so it isn't really a problem.

ive used a glide-cam 2000. I dont have the use of a quality tripod so when i pan i use the glide cam. Also when moving its picture in comparison to just holding the camera is superb. I suggest buying a glide cam. Only $200 and you will have a extremely nice shot, garunteed.

Film School? Yeah I'm goin'. Who's Commin' with?

You're beautiful, just touch it.
