Can you use bulbs like these in those cheap work lights you can buy at Home Depot?

Also, does anybody know if this set up would be any good? I'm really ignorant when it comes to lighting.

That doesn't seem like a bad lighting kit for 50 bucks. It looks to be your basic 6 dollar clip-on light with stands, and carrying case.
So, for 35 bucks more, you get two stands and a carrying case. That's not bad at all.

As for the FDN light bulbs, yeah, they'll work in you're standard worklight. 14 bucks is a little pricey, however.
If you buy a case of six (which you'll eventually need), you can get them for 6.71 a piece here. That half the price of B+H. You're welcome.

That is a pretty good deal. I use a home depot light kit myself, but I may need to pick up one or two of those. Good find!

dpete, the only thing you might want to think about the lighting kit you posted is that you might spend more money buying other things like flags/boards that won't burn, and extra stands to hold those boards and gels and all that to control the very broad, bright light those things must throw out.

You might want to consider these diffusers for those two lights:
