Hey ya'll. I got to do Edgar Allen Poe's THE RAVEN for English class.
Are there any aspects of the poem that I should really stress on visually?
Any other suggestions will help, I wanna get the best grade on this as possible. Thanks.

"The way is shut. It was made by the dead, and the dead keep it. The way is shut."

I would focus on the bland, shadowy starkness of the main character's life, because remember, this poem is technically about romanticism defeating classicism, about the unexplained defeating the explained. You have to emphasize the predictability, blandness, darkness and logic that dominates the main character's world, and how the Raven comes and shatters this world with only one word.

I havent even read the book but if it has a raven in it and is supposed to be darkish, I suggest watching The Crow which is a great movie with alot of sweet dark shots. But then again this is a poem so i have no idea....

Thanks any way willy! Big Grin. At least you tried to contribute.

Note: This is not a sarcastic post. I've had a couple people mistake my tone before so I just want you to know.
