Sorry 2 interupt but I've been trying to look for good quality footage of the sky changing (rain, cloudy, blue) for my film. Could someone please arrange to send me them electronically? I know how to for free(send large video files).
Thanks.

For sound effects you can always go to:

www.A1freesoundeffects.com

They're not extraordinary, but I have used them many times for background noises.
For main sounds that are important, I usually try and find ways to create my own. Get creative!
Good luck! (I.E. for a sword cutting through skin or something of the sort I recorded the sound of a really juicy water mellon being cut! It sounded Gross!)

The Prelinger archives have a lot of footage from old educational movies and other sources. They have huge files too which make it "muy bien" as the Spanish would say. Here's a link:

I've tried most of the popular on-line sources for free sounds effects, and I honestly believe that the best one is http://www.findsounds.com

Not only is it an easy interface with no annoying pop-up ads, but it has a great search engine, too.

Rip them from movies. You will never find a better gun blast or punch imapct then in major motion pictures. Rip em and run.

Just have the director make the sound effects while filming, it works wonders.
