I'm looking for a inexpensive boom mic for a Canon ZR65? Any ideas? I also need plans for a cheap do-it-yourself boom mic stand/pole?

Thanks Again!

Well, I used to use a broom pole to mount my mic on for booming. But if you choose to do that, make sure you go with push-brooms with plastic or metal poles that can be de-attached, not those lousy witch-brooms - those will just sweep the sound away.

For a Canon ZR65 you'll probably want an XLR adapter (I'm assuming the camera only has a miniplug outlet), you can rent or buy those, trust me, you'll want one if you want any decent sound because their aren't too many good mono-recording mini-plug shotgun mics. If you really can't afford an XLR adapter, get a female-XLR to Male 1/8 inch miniplug converter. Good luck
