Arri lights and Lowel Lights

I want to buy an Arri Fresnel, which is much better for CU shots and shadows on the face than my Lowel Omnis. I have four Lowel Omni lights (open face). Both brands are tungsten, but I'm worried that if I use the Omni bulbs in the BG or for kicker or fill, will this interfere with the Arri Fresnel key light in unaesthetic way? Is there a difference in light quality other than the fresnel lense on the Arri? Should I not mix these? Help...

Thanks,
Thinkingman

Most flicker problems come from mixing lights like HMI's and Kinoflo's with tungstens. There should be no flicker problems between the two if they are running off the same circuit, and even on different circuits there should be no problems.

You might run into some colour balancing issues, in which case i recomend you get yourself some CTO and CTB gels, they come in eighth, quarter, half and full tones, and can be doubled up to get the right balance.
