Off Campus Production Services began in 2009 with the expressed mission to provide students of the visual arts with practical advice, consult and affordable access to the tools and services vital to successful filmmaking.

Pre-production Workflow Consultation

By thoroughly understanding students' delivery needs, Off Campus Production Services (OCPS) can put the project on the most economical workflow path. By example, imagine if a project calls for a print deliverable, and the chosen workflow is being conformed for an SD or HD output to tape. The wrong decision, innocently made up front, could end up costing a student valuable time and money. Lots of money. OCPS provides online, telephone and in-person consulting ahead of the shoot, post session and/or mastering - assuring it gets done right the first time.

Off Campus Production Services first coordinates closely with film department faculty to develop a thorough understanding of both undergraduate and graduate programs (vision, objectives, syllabus, tools available, etc.). Identifying where OCPS may best help facilitate and improve student production efficiency, a detailed services proposal is then provided back to faculty members. Programs may be designed to include an entire student body, single class, or for individuals electing to use the services independently. In-depth consultations are then performed with each student prior to shooting.
