Short film with the flip ultra hd?

Hey everyone. I have made a couple of short films in the past with a crew and this takes immense planning and sometimes, even begging. I always treat my crew well but I was thinking of something. I'm planning on making a series shorts that are 2-3 minutes each. I was thinking of doing this with my Flip HD camera Now, the sound isn't that impressive. I was wondering if there is a way that I can get better sound. If not, are there any affordable cameras that shoot with the quality of the flip but has amazing sound? I don't want to break too much out of the bank. I mainly shoot films as a hobby but I ensure quality and I spend hours trying to craft a good story.
