Hey guys, I know there have been numerous posts about this so you'll be glad that this is not a question about it. I actually got to see one of these in action [as my friend bought one] and it is awesome. The 24p mode is just insane. It was very noticeable just in the viewfinder, so I can't wait to edit some of the footage and see how it looks on a television. Wait, I do have a question that just popped in my head. On Panasonic's, do the batteries suck or what? Because I've noticed that my Panasonic DV cam batteries and such were going out before they were supposed to [3 hour battery going out after 20 mins]. I talked to Panasonic and it turns out that it was the charger, and everything works fine for now, but even the guy that owns the DVX says his batteries don't last that long as well. Is it a defect or just coincidence?

They do that with my cam also. But since its litiom-ion, the bateries do lose longevity over time.

if you set a battery directly on the ground or leave it in hot environments, even just using it outside during the summer for example, will deteriorate its longevity, keep it cool and hope for the best
