I was just wondering which mode on an Canon XM1 i would use to shoot interlaced. It has the option of movie mode or frame mode. Any idea which is which?

(Sorry if this has been asked before. I would have searched the forums but it keep givving me an error)

wow I didn't even know there was an XM series! GL-1 and XL-1 had a baby and it's the XM-1! wow. Sorry I don't know the answer to your question, nor do I know the answer for the XL-1 so.

I ask the same question except for a Canon XL1.

the xm-1 is the european equivelent to the xl-1, as i recall.

hmmm.... frame or movie mode. Cannon actually calls it normal movie mode and frame movie mode. For interlaced video you want normal movie mode.

edit: nope, i was wrong. it's the same as the gl-1.
