That's just impossible. DV has resolution of only 720x480. 16mm looks great blown up to 35mm. Not as good as 35mm itself...but still pretty good. -Chris Studentfilms.com

I loved the look of 28 days later...but hey, that movie had the word" DIGITAL" written all over. Digital can look good with good lenses, good color correction and no movement  8mm has actually a beautiful side blown up to 35mm....real old school. S16 is the way to go imho, 16mm is dead. There is no single reason to shoot 16mm anymore instead of super 16

for the record, i totally agree hoeks, there is something great about blowing up 8mm. Its not very practical, but i love it. Besides - blowing up digital gives you pixelation and compression artifacts...film gives you a dirty look, but none of the digital nasties mentioned above. ...and this is from a digital only guy! lol
