Welcome to Studentfilms.com, the online film discussion forum for filmmakers and students who are applying to film school, attending film school, need advice on making films, or just want to share their films with the world.
Been reading this place for awhile but this is my first time posting.
My school just got a few DVX-100A cameras in and I've been playing with it every chance I get. I've explored the menu and I can't seem to find a way to turn on the 60i shooting mode. I've been able to use 24P, 24P Advanced, and 30P, but not 60i.
Am I just missing something extremely simple?
Also, if you're editing thru Final Cut Pro with no hopes of transferring to film later, is 24P better or 24P Advanced? Would I have to set any options to make sure the footage imports correctly or will FCP handle it on it's own? (FYI, I'm using Final Cut Pro 4.5 HD)
if you are on f1, that should be 60i, unless it has been change, but honestly since i have had my camerea i have only shot 24p or 24pa, it just looks soooo good.
Shoot 24p if you hvae no hopes to transfer to film, shot 24pa if you wanna edit in a 24p timeline. No matter how you shot, FCP4.5 can handle it. check www.dvxuser.com search the forums there, you will find the answer to all your questions plus more.
