Hey actors!
I'm currently casting for my Senior Thesis film at Champlain College. I've worked on a few films over the past year or two here in Burlington and I'm looking forward to directing my second film "The Envelope" (working title). The film is going to be shooting in late October/ early November and I'm looking for some actors and an actress. I've put a description of the characters below and if your interested please send me an email and I will send you a copy of the screenplay. Food, beverages will be provided and each actor will receive 25$ for their trouble.
The Envelope: Matt, A recently unemployed man finds himself using his legs as his only transportation through town. While walking he begins to notice a mysterious piece of paper with a hint of dark red that seems to appear everywhere.
Matt (20-30 years old): Matt is a recently unemployed office worker who after years of working at his cushy job is fired. To add to Matt's worries, his girlfriend Claire gets suddenly promoted and needs to use their shared vehicle or work all the time. Matt decides to walk everywhere which leads him to notice a mysterious piece of paper on the ground.
Claire (18-30 years old): Claire is a hardworking and independent young professional in a long term relationship with Matt. Although Claire and Matt haven't ever had issues, Matt losing his job has added a lot of stress. Claire's recent promotion also goes to her head causing her to get even more uptight about Matt's job situation.
Boss (35-65): The boss is a clean shaven tie wearing professional who takes his job and his company very seriously. The boss also did not take a particular liking to Matt and ended up firing him over the phone.
Hobo (40-65+): A very grungy homeless man (or woman) who Matt gives money to on the street. The Hobo hauntingly warns Matt not to pick up the piece of paper that has been seen floating throughout the streets.
Bartender (25-50): An angry soul trapped working the night shifts at a quiet bar. The bartender has lost their ability for compassion due to years listening to drunks and their stories. (Very short role)
Here is also some links to my previous work. Last spring I directed Eddie Mumbles:
