After watch The L word Seasons ,I'm wondering that how many lesbians can be together for a life time in the reality? Or it is just a beautiful fairy tale?

Well, how many marriages between heterosexuals fail? Something like %50 is the popular perception, or something close to it. So the beautiful fairy tale is broken anyways. Plus, lesbians can't legally be married in the U.S., so you're probably dealing with a culture that, without "legal" marriage and "probably" without children "could" be limited in ties. How many heterosexual couples "stay together for the kids" or "try to make it work"? Could be apples and oranges, I dunno, just some thoughts on the issue. But it is a helluva lot easier to walk away from a relationship without fears of separating kids and parents and worrying about the financial hit of spousal support, divorce proceedings etc...

But for a more important question, who actually looks at anything seen on television as being remotely close to "reality"? But I can't chat anymore, another balloon just got loose and a media storm is building on CNN!

yah u have to remember peopel are getting together and having kids at dfferent levels intheir lives. not everyone has kids with their first mate, some do. so for you to think that w hen lesbians are attracted to eachother, that..thats that. haha. everyone has the potential to be partners, it has nothing to do with if its gonna last. Even if you're with a partner, you're not REALLY with them. You have morphed into one entity. If you depart, you are abotu to begin being alone again until you leech onto someone else. Do all FRIENDS stay together all life? Do all father's stay there?

Unfortunately this isnt even the discussion. The subject should be really be

Why does a TV show have to tell people , 'This has lesbians in it' so to get an audience / DVD sales?

& domestic violence has nothing to do with it. people would assume women are the victims so naturally you'd think lesbians would get along more. Except its pretty much 50 / 50 for all cases; man or woman but Im pretty sure i read that lesbians make up the majority of women perps.
