| I personally didn't really like it. It felt like there was something missing. You expect it to be profound like Schindler's List and Speilberg was clearly trying to make it that way, but it just wasn't. I felt like I was leaving the theater empty-handed, so to speak. | | | |

| I loved this movie. I thought it was a great way to start off 2006. Granted, it was a little different than I expected. Maybe it was the modern look and feel of the movie. The acting was superb, but I have to say Eric Bana needed a little work on some of his facial expressions. Other than that, I loved how some scenes were shot, the seamless editing and the overall directing on Spielberg's part. A great movie in my opinion, but truth be told...King Kong had a bigger affect on me. Completley different type of movie, but Kong seemed to draw me in a little more. -Kegan | | | | Posts: 316 | Location: Toronto, ON | Registered: May 12, 2005 |

Because its socially engaged and truthful cinema.

| I was talking about Schindler's List, not Munich. | | | |

| Okay. If you don't think that Schindler's List is a "legitimate masterwork," then I respectfully disagree. Hopefully you can at least see that it was better than Munich. | | | |

No, just the types of films that don't kick you in the ass, the type pf films that aren't playing at your theatre, that you can't rent by mistake at ur local Blockbuster Video. For some reason art is not a highly demanded aspect in film, and that's why great pieces of it (like the ones forementioned) need to be searched for, if you're interested in seeing/feeling something that isn't formulaic hollywood bull****. It's like finding a good Greek or Italian restaurant as opposed to Macdonalds. Would you call them elitists too?
