I just recently saw this trailer and thought it looked awesome. It reminded me of a much more upbeat magnolia. The film will probobly be too goofy for a lot of people, but i really want to see it.

Funny, i got more of a Wes Anderson vibe off it, but that might just be because of the "Rushmore" stars involvment.

For anyone un aware this is a David Russel film (Three Kings, Flirting with Disaster, Spanking The Monkey) Took him quite a while to get it made even with the success and accolades behind Three Kings so ive been following it's development for a while. Cant wait to see it.

I agree with you on that. the trailer actually seems like a mix between WES and Magnolia, but i didnt mention it. i figured i only thought that b/c Jason Schwarztzman is in the trailer. It looks like the offbeat humor and innocence of A wes anderson movie, mixed with the crazy intermixing characters and odd storyline of magnolia. I hope it turns out that way. 3 kings is an excellent movie, so hopefully this will be just as good

Maybe the Magnolia vibe is because the music is by Jon Brion, same composer as Magnolia. He has a pretty distinct style going on.

I didn't want to see this (I thought the trailer was stupid and told me NOTHING about the film) but I saw it anyways. I really really liked it and was totally surprised, I seriously thought it was going to be stupid, it wasnt fantastic, but better than most movies, mainly because its subject matter is hardly ever tackled in film, I really dug it the most cause I've been reading about philosophies and religions referenced in the film, the film also really affected me cause I could relate to the characters so much, it was amazing. The cast is perfect and i loved just about everything about it. I recommend.

I also loved everything about it. It was hilarious! Mark Wahlburg was classic! The performances were great, all around. Good job to David O. Russell. Not only does he have a great sense of humor, he definitely has a lot of talent as a director.

I also recommend.
