So... Just caught this on DVD. I was actually embarresed to pick it off the shelf of Blockuster. It really felt like the kind of movie you're better off renting online. However, it was actually kind of good. For a musical adventure about aliens and antiestablishmentarianism starring penguins, it didn't suck. I don't know what compelled me to pick this one out of the sixteen other crapfests called kid's movies that came out last year, but I'm glad I did. I bothered with Over the Hedge and mistakenly trusted Pixar with Cars, but this one really was a nice surprise. I wouldn't feel so ashamed renting another CGI flick if the other studios were able to actually figure out what made this a good flick. So, is anyone else manly enough to share a review?

I saw this at the cinemas and really enjoyed it. Definitely the best animated feature I've seen in a long while (maybe since Toy Story 2?) Very much deserving of the Oscar that it won over Cars and Monster House (though in honesty i havent seen Monster House). It was made by Australians too, so yeah, woo!
