I thought it was quite funny and better then the trailers looked. More original humor, lots of good cameos, and much-less recycled or stereotypical huumor then most movies (Not to say there not none, but look at some piece of crap like Head of State and you will see what I mean).

I can't imagine Anger Management being any good. The last four movies produced by and starring Sandler were total garbage. Sandler used to be very funny and original, but now it's the same sentimental bullplop and "soft spoken guy that sometimes loses his cool" stuff over and over and over that I'm just tired of it.

Funny thing is, he's lost it, yet people still flock to the theatres expecting another Billy Madison. Go figure...

Actually, Sandler's earlier characters (like BILLY MADISON AND WATER BOY) are kind of repetitive (at least to me). I felt like with BIG DADDY and PUNCH DRUNK (I didn't see PD) he was trying to expand a bit - or at least tone it down some.

However, I was more intrigued with Jack Nicholson being in AM than Sandler - and the story looked like it might have possibilities.

I'm going to see it tomorrow, so we'll see if it's a waste or not. At least I'm going to the matinee!

The directing sucked really badly...like the guy had some kind of "paint by numbers" book for setting up shots and using comedic timing. Other than that, it was an Adam Sandler movie, which for some people is good, and for others not good.
And Punch Drunk Love was really good.

Punch Drunk Love was one of the best films of last year. The world "bliss" comes to my mind everytime I think about that movie.

Yes, with enough soap, one could blow up just about anything.

Anger Management was o.k, and I am an Adam Sandler fan. I Left the theatre longing for the days of Billy Madison and Happy Gilmore. There were a lot hits, but a lot of misses too. Although Nicholson is known as one of the greatest actors in movie history he seemed to be walking through this film with out trying, it also seemed(just for this one film) that sandler did a better job than Jack and actually tried(other than Punch Drunk Love). But because of his last 3 piece of crap movies(Mr. Deeds, 8 crazy nights, Little Nicky) he finnally made a decent sandler movie. It's worth your while, but it's no Madison or Gilmore.
Big ups to Brooklyn
Rest in Peace B.I.G

No Sandler formulaic comedy will top Happy Gillmore. That bigfoot guy with the shirt that said "Guns don't kill people, I do"...genius.

LOL, that guy's name is Richard Kiel. He lives around these parts, central California. He's most famous for playing "Jaws" in the old James Bond movies. He's a funny guy. He does local used car commercials, he's called "the auto chopper," he says "we're chopping prices" and then takes a huge axe to one of the cars. It's hilarious.

I did see AM on Sunday. It was ok, and agree that something was missing. To me, the script was like a first draft with no re-writes or something. Kind of a predictable ending too. It didn't suck, it just wasn't great.

I agree that JN seemed to just coast through his part. Maybe his bill for the Laker's season tickets came due and he needed quick cash!

Seemed to me like Nicholson is overpaid to just scoot through the movie like he did. Nothing special from him, but I guess they were happy to even get him so they let him be himself.

Ever see a Laker game and he's sitting court side all scruffy, looking like he just woke up or something? That's what I thought he looked like in the anger management.

Anger Management was actully pretty funny. And
Jack Nicholson was funny,it was strange seeing him
in a comedy because is mostly a serious actor. So
if you have not see this film I think you should because it made me laugh.

Big mistake for Sandler to team up with Nicholson on this movie. Not that Sandler wasn't funny, but in my opinion, Nicholson was THE funny of the movie. If it weren't for him, this movie would have sucked. I still didn't think it was brilliant. It could of been alot funnier, but it wasn't a waste of time. Go see it if you feel like a laugh.

Oh, and am I asking too much for wanting Sandler to go back to his Billy Madison/Happy Gilmore days? I'm fine with him doing Punch Drunk Love because that was a great movie, but when it comes to comedies, nothing tops Billy Madison. Happy Gilmore was also up there.
