That's easily on my "that better be as freaking good as it looks" list. I can't wait.

Does this remind anyone of 2001, or is it just me?

Actors? What actors?

That looks pretty cool, it will definitely be one to see.

Did anyone else try going to the film's website? I just get this weird menu with 4 different "views" and they show these strange pictures that look like lava lamps.

Visually stunning trailer, but idea of eternal life is pretty used.

The DP is Matthew Libatique. Same guy who did Pi and Requiem and a bunch of other movies.

Apparently it got booed at the Venice Film Festival according to IMDB. Frown people were left confused. I hope it was just the people who misunderstood the plot. I really want to like this Smile

I remember when the critics in my country, gave one star to a african film called "hero".
A couple months later, the same film won the award for best movie in sundance.
Critics hate Darren Aronofsky, no big deal.
I thought Requiem was nice btw.

It looks too excessive to me. We'll see if there are any worthwhile/intelligent ideas behind the CGI visuals.

FWIW 'The Brown Bunny' was booed at Cannes... take that as you will.

Actually Evan according to IMDB (which is God) Instead of using CGI, Aronofsky chose to do the special effects for the film by using micro-photography of chemical reactions on tiny petri dishes Smile

Its official. Critics hate it. One of the best newspappers in my country called it: "very very very pretentious"...
But we all know that movie critics are sad wankers Smile
