In response to Durden, thank for for the well put post. As i stated in my response to JW, the SS comment was indeed too strong a term. As far as flaming goes, which I realize that was, you'll never see another post like that from me again. However, I still have objections to the way that BigMovies situation was handled. | |||

The John Kerry thing was pretty good, you can also check out http://www.johnkerryisadouchebagbutimvotingforhimanyway.com/ The site belongs to a guy that doesnt like john kerry, but is still voting for him. So i guess its not strictly anti-kerry I dont want to be the guy that goes out after a huge argument with the moderators, So i'll leave with this. I dont apologize for bringing up this discussion or for doing so in the forum, although i should have contacted the mods personally first. I think it is necessary for everyone ot see the topic, so next time a post just vanishes, maybe something can be done about it. I do however apologize for calling the mods SS. It wasnt meant to link them to hitler, only serve as a colorful illustration of what has been going on. That backfired tremendously, and i apologize to anyone offended. Studentfilms is an amazing resource and 99% of the time serves as a fantastic enviroment for film talk as well as "off-topic" junk (such as political threads, or Kyles meandering nook of nonsense. Posters like Tizzy, Rfranko, notamono and joren (sorry if i forgot you) are a tremendous font of knowledge for aspiring filmakers and a credit to this site. Sorry I won't finish the movie reviews, to anyone that was reading those. I wish great success to everyone in the future, and I'll see you around. -Jacob | |||

Ok. Ok. Ok. I've been outside this topic for too long and it seems to have gotten way out of hand while I was away for the weekend. I'm not entirely sure what happened with Bigmovie - I never deleted any of his posts. I definitely need to have a meeting with my mods because I'm not sure I like how the site has degraded to flaming most recently. I don't want to lose any members - all of you contribute greatly to the site. Particle man - don't go anywhere. All of your posts have been great. I understand where your frustration is coming from - and I will see that volatile situations on these boards are handing much better in the future. The deletion of Bigmovie's posts wasn't correct. Some of the actions of my mods I don't approve of. I don't want the forums to come across as being moderated by an "SS". This is not the community that I want to build.
