Damn! Looks terrific! I, too, am a sucker for...well, not necessarily bleak future movies, but alternate-reality movies, such as Sin City. This looks awesome!

THANK YOU! I saw a trailer for this last night at Lady in the Water and could not for the life of me remember what it was called when I got home. I agree this does look very interesting, defintely on my to see list. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Bruce the moose,
I am ending my 6 month hiatus from this studentfilms.com forum in order to say this.
When I saw this trailer I was completely crushed. I have been working on a script for almost a year revolving around the exact same ideas and plot-lines that Children Of Men seems to be based on. The similarities are too great for me to even continue to work or do revisions on my script. What do you do in a situation like this? I feel like I have wasted so much time. I was feeling very satisfied with the content/quality of my script. (but there really is no use talking about that, because nothing I can say can really prove that I'm any different than all the other masses of unsuccessful optimists out there) Oh well. I guess it was a good excercise for my brain; its not like Im at a shortage of ideas or anything.

Hats off to you for thinking of that concept on your own, although not even the filmmakers did that...it's based off a book writeen by P.D. James in the early 90's I think.
Maybe you can make a fanfilm? Not nearly as satisfying but it might save your soul from the depression of wasted efforts.
I definatly agree that the movie looks like it will be great. I find the subject matter to be increditably intelligent and a great idea. It show the end of the world in a way besides pollution leading to global warming but it looks as though it also touches on pollution as a problem we face
