Yeah the premise is idiotic for an Indiana Jones film. But even with that aside, it was just really poorly made. The skull prop looked glossy and dumb. The acting was wretched -- the actors seemed like they were pausing to remember their lines. The cut is so sloppy you lose track of characters here and there -- like Marion just sort of vanishes during the ant scene and then reappears. The dialogue is clunky and not-clever. It's like Spielberg just threw the film together in an afternoon without any feeling or integrity or care.
