this may not be the greatest movie but its the best new horror movie I have seen in a while. it is a tribute to 70s horror films like texas chainsaw massacre. I think rob zombie did a good job with it.

Ehh...I'll "buy tickets" to it to and check it..but from all the reviews I've heard, it's supposed to be pretty darn tame, and more or less bringing nothing new to the table. All that fuss for the past couple years over nothing, it seems.

yah, I heard it wasnt horrible but really not as great as its supposed to be. It doesnt look all that bad, but I dont like horror films all that much except for hitchcock ones which are some of the few ones that really scare me.

All I gotta say is, I watched it. Out of the group I went with, two people loved it and eight people hated it. I remained neutral. It's definately not your normal movie-going experience. In the theater I was in, the volume was extremely loud. The whole movie is like an hour and a half loud in your face f*cked up music video. It's not close to as gory as I thought it would be but I heard Rob had to butcher it in the editing suite to avoid NC-17 rating. But whatever, my personal opinion is Rob should stick to his music. It was campy, but not successfully campy. The reverb on the audio in some of the scenes annoyed the crap out of me. I think Rob tried way too hard. It's not the worse movie I ever saw, but it's definately not something I'd like to see again.

i am a big horror fan......but i thought this movie was pure $hit. it had a few kind of cool things in it. some of the sets were cool and the clown guy, the guy with the gas mask and the axe, and the burned guy were cool. but the rest was $hit. it was just soo badly made.....it was crapp.....amiture crapp. it reminded me of when some stupid sucker gets a consumer level video camera and thinks that just because it has "mosaic" and "polerize" and "old movie" effects that they have to use them all of the time. oh yeah thats sooooo cool to invert a bad divix clip then re-colorize it and cut it in with film.....that had soo much to do with the movie, and it was soooo creative......rob zombie stole 2 hours of my life and i want it back!
