I really need to figure out the title of this film and if anyone can help me, you guys can. It's a foreign film. I saw it a few years ago on IFC. It's story of a young boy (maybe twelve years old) from the Middle East (I think Afghanistan, but not sure) who's parents secure him safe passage to America. He then travels through the Middle East and through Europe, enduring great hardships in a variety of precarious situations, until finally ending up in England. His uncle (?) is traveling with him at first but dies along the way. It's an epic road movie set in at least seven different countries. It was shot in a really gritty, cinema-verite style (lots of hand held shaky-cam and high-contrast, harsh lighting). It was an excellent film that played on IFC all the time around 2004. I think there might have been the word "Journey" in the US title. That's about all I can remember.
I used all my Google powers to no avail, so please help me if you can, thanks!
