| whenever I watch the movies, I look at it as someone else's interpretation. Like TD, I have read it numerous times, before and after the movies were released, and a lot of it is similar to what I imagine. There is some stuff that I would have done differently, but it was Peter Jackson's vision, not mine. (This some logic does not apply to the Star Wars prequels )

| seriously, this gets me more and more pissed. How can they look at the Spderman movies and then translate that to the hobbit? what were they thinking. If the spiderman guy, whatever his name is, has any honor, he will refuse and tell them to use jackson

Perhaps you should watch "A Simple Plan" then. He's far better than Jackson IMO and I didn't even like the Spiderman movies. But what he did with "The Evil Dead" is far better than any "Bad Taste" and "A Simple Plan" is better than "Heavenly Creatures" so just because you don't know his name doesn't mean he should bow to Jackson, who to me is a nobody still, both since LOTR and before when i'd never even heard of him (yet now he's held up as the greatest ever?). | | | | Posts: 90 | Location: Icarus Flat | Registered: February 11, 2003 |

| Fool of a studio. They should throw themselves in next time, and rid us of their stupidity.

I guess this means the key players in the film wouldn't want to do the movie without Peter Jackson's direction... thus bringing the studio to accept Jackson as the director. Besides, the studio is stupid for not knowing that Jackson's name alone would help get people in the theaters. I remember the first War of the Worlds teaser trailer was simply Cruise and Spielberg's name and the title of the film. That shows how much star power helps a movie's advertisment. | | | | Posts: 246 | Location: Los Angeles, CA | Registered: November 28, 2004 |
