I think snatch is great but its not the best. I would have to go with THE USUAL SUSPECTS. That is the greatest movie of all time.
Hmmm...my top 10
1. The Usual Suspects
2. The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring
3. Schindler's List
4. Braveheart
5. The Shawshank Redemption
6. Saving Private Ryan
7. Gladiator
8. Good Will Hunting
9. Catch Me If You Can
10. The Thin Red Line

Best movies of all time, huh? You have some good ones on that list Imperial. Of course, anyone's list is very subjective!

I couldn't even begin to list only ten, but here some of my favorites - (not particularly the top ten, nor are they in any order!):

1. 12 Angry Men
2. The Searchers
3. The Sixth Sense
4. Saving Private Ryan
5. Road To Perdition
6. The Great Escape
7. The Sting
8. Bonnie and Clyde
9. Grapes of Wrath
(four way tie)
10. Jaws
10. The Exorcist
10. Man Without A Face
10. Billy Elliot

I'm sure I could easily find ten other films to replace those, but they are close to my favorites (until I can think of others).

I'm with Mark... too many out there. And opinions DO vary...

Here, in no particular order, are mine:

-PULP FICTION
-GREASE
-THE GODFATHER
-PSYCHO
-THE SOUND OF MUSIC
-FARGO
-CITIZEN KANE
-JAWS
-ANNIE HALL

And if we're REALLY targeting the BEST MOVIE of ALL TIME, lets not forget E.T. It's what movies are all about... Comedy, drama, suspense, and above all -- childlike imagination. Spielberg likes to compare E.T. with certain bottles of wine, as all great movies should: they get better with age.

You know, "favorite" films would've been more appropriate. I can't imagine someone seeing BASEketball as one of the best ever. I do like the fact though that Citizen Kane isn't number one on anyone's list, yet the AFI deems it worthy of the title.

Top ten favorites (because I know half of them aren't the greatest.)

1. Mortal Kombat
2. Snatch
3. Fight Club
4. Contact
5. American Psycho
6. Yojimbo
7. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
8. City of Lost Children
9. Dark City
10. Three Kings

I suppose I should watch The Godfather since I have not seen it yet. I must say though that Unbreakable wouldve been a lot better had it not had the cheesy explanation titles at the end over still frames. That really ruined the movie for me.
As for other favorite films of mine that i forget to mention...
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
Snatch
The Dirty Dozen
Alien
Gladiator
...so many movies to choose from. Ill think of more.

And does anyone else think that Metal Gear Solid would make a good movie???

1) Citizen Kane-Whether you like it or not, you can not deny the pure cinematic magicin this film. If you don't think it's the best, watch the DVD with Ebert's commentary.

2) Magnolia

3) Minority Report

4) Casablanca

5) Chicago
tie
6) Saving Private Ryan

6) Schindler's List

8) Godfather

9) Star Wars
tie
10) Meet The Feebles (oh god please don't think im serious)

10) Lord of the Rings the Fellowship of the Ring

MG would make a tight ass movie... but they cant change the story too much like they did on Resident Evil which by the way was a pretty phatt movie itself. i think "Commandos" would also make a good movie.

I definetly Metal Gear Solid! it has such an awesome plot it would definetly make a cool action movie. If they did it right that is. And if John Woo ever made it i would shoot myself. He is horrible. Havent played Commandos yet, but I think Homeworld would also make a cool movie if done right.
