Anybody seen it? Is it worth a damn?
I'm a fan of This is Spinal Tap and Best in Show and am considering making the half-hour drive to the one theatre in New jersey that's playing it. But before I do that, I gotta know, is it any good? ...Anyone?

The buzz around NYU is that it's not as good as "Waiting for Guffman" or "Best in Show". Supposedly there's funny parts and other parts that are just kinda bland. I'll probably see it tonight, maybe I'll report back with a personal review

I really liked the movie. It very much tickled my funny bone. I found that it was first of all too short (87 minutes). I also found that it had both smart and dumb humor and I would reccommend it to anyone who liked the others (all listed above besides Waiting for Guffman, I think) and especially those who are familiar with all these great performers such as Michael McKean, Harry Shearer, Christopher Guest, Eugene Levey, Catherine O'Hara, Fred Willard, etc, etc. As to those who say it's not as good as the others, I admit it does have a few slow points, but it is otherwise only slightly below the others, by a hair.
Besides, it's the funniest movie showing right now anyway!!

I heard it was really funny , but a lot of the jokes rely on a knowledge of the folk song genre, this may be why ome parts seem slow because people don't have the knowledge. This is just what I heard so I thought I'd share it.

I was so upset when I heard that it was only playing in select theatres (none of which are in my town). But I just heard it's coming out everywhere May 9. I can't wait!
