I'm sure this film has been the opic of conversation before, but after viewing it for the third time I felt compelled to post about it. The cinematography and directing in this film are stunning. The composition is stunning. The scene in which Tom Hanks takes out Paul Newman and his goons on the rainy street is one of the most beautifully made pieces of film I think seen. Is it just me or do others feel this film was underrated?

I thought it was really underrated. It was my favorite film of that year and I'm not sure I've seen a movie since that I've felt is as good (but that's off the top of my head).

I also really liked the score and bought the CD as soon as it came out!

At least Hall won the Oscar for cinematography!

I think it's utterly RIDICULOUS that it was not nominated for Best Picture.
