Well the first 15 minutes of Up was probably the best 15 minutes I have seen of anything in quite a while...however as soon as the Wilderness Boy showed up, I thought Pixar began sacrificing the heart of the story.

Then when the talking dogs in airplanes showed up I knew that Pixar sacrificed his creative integrity.

Because that first 15 minutes was so unexplainable touching, it has to be my favorite Pixar movie and favorite of 2009 so far.

Up. As braininabox said, the first 15 minutes are the closest to perfect a film can come. And I thought Dug was absolutely hilarious.

Ok I'm changing my answer to UP. It's going to be hard to top it this year.

Yea. Up was really great. I thought Star Trek was a lot of fun too, but Up has been a standout to me for 2009. God the start of that film was ridiculously good. It felt so genuine.

Up was and still is a great film. It draws you into the movie and you feel the emotions they want you to the whole way through. I am afraid that they might try to make a sequal some how but I really hope they dont because that can just tarnish it.

Up was phenomenal, so was The Hurt Locker, Moon, and District 9. Funny People was great too, but in a different sense. I also thought Star Trek was great as well.

For me the best movie of 2010 has to be INCEPTION, followed by SHUTTER ISLAND. Man Mr DiCaprio is growing as an actor.

I think my favorite movie of 2010 is also Inception, followed by Shutter Island.
My favorite Blu-rays (in no particular order) are Hurt Locker, Up, Shutter Island, Star Trek, District 9 and Man On Fire.

Agreed, Up was simply amazing. The first five minutes or so which introduces Carl and his wife Ellie is so heartbreaking.

As I keep saying my favorite movie of the year has to be Inception. The hotel scene was awesome, next up has to be Shutter Island very moody, the way I like it.

It's hard to imagine that the same studio system that produces such great movies as Shutter Island and Inception can also produce such crap as Furry Vengeance and The Human Centipede.

Hurt Locker was a superb movie. Deserving of Oscars IMO.
