11TH ANNUAL CINERAMA FILM FESTIVAL (APRIL 11TH-12TH, 2009) CALL FOR ENTRIES

The Florida Undergraduate Film (FUF) Society at the University of Florida is now accepting submissions for the 11th Annual CINERAMA Film Festival, to be held at the University of Florida’s Student Union Theatre. This year, FUF is teaming up with Student Upstart Films and Reitz Union Board Entertainment to produce the biggest and best CINERAMA yet!

FUF is an official student organization at the University of Florida that strives to promote awareness and appreciation for the art of film. In support of this ideal, CINERAMA welcomes ALL entries, from short films to full-length features, and from animation to avant-garde; CINERAMA is a true celebration of film in every sense of the word.

There are no entry fees and audience-determined winners will be eligible to receive various prizes, in addition to a weeklong screening of their movie at University of Florida's Student Union Theater, where it will be promoted to the entire student body and local community.

Entries should be postmarked no later than April 4th. Make sure to include your contact information and a short description of your film. We can support most formats but encourage playable (NOT data) DVD’s. If you are interested in submitting a different format (16mm, 35mm, etc.), please don’t hesitate to contact FUF’s President, Ying Lo, at yinglo@ufl.edu so proper arrangements can be made.
