The first Student Film Festival Awards will debut in Brighton November 13-15th, 2009 at Umi Hotels West Pier Suite with the awards following at Umi Suite Sunday night Nov. 15th, 2009 at 9pm. Awards will be given for best short film, best documentary, best music video, best animation film and best advert. The Student Film Festival Awards competition will give young filmmakers an opportunity to promote films both on-screen along with our You-Tube group. Portraits pictures will be presented on our Flicker group.

The vision is to bring a wide selection of filmmakers from all around the UK (and maybe further afield) for the weekend of a lifetime. Invitations will be sent to production companies. Your short film presentation will be on show with the possibility of a feature film offer from film makers seeking fresh, new talent. StudentFilmFestivalAwards.co.uk will be judged equally. Our objective is to judge how well your ideas are communicated on screen.

Deadline for your film submission is September 1, 2009.
