The Columbia University National Undergraduate Film Festival is holding its second annual festival on April 8th, 2006 at the
Columbia University campus in New York City.
They are now holding a call for submissions from any high school or undergraduate
student filmmaker who reside in the United States. All genres are accepted and submitted films are eligible to win awards
in any of the 10 following categories: Soundtrack Award for best use of music & sound, Best Screenplay, Best Editing, Best
Acting, Best Cinematography, A Frontiers Award for Most Original Film, Best Directed, Best Overall, and an Outreach Award
for an outstanding film of a humanitarian nature or a film dedicated to Community Service.
All selected finalists will
be eligible to win any of the listed awards and have their films screened by professional filmmakers as well as high-profile
individuals already working in the professional film industry. Selected films will be screened at Columbia University's Roone
Arledge Cinema of Lerner Hall.
SUBMISSION DEADLINE: The film submission postmarked deadline is tentatively set for
March 7th.
