U. Frame is the first festival of its kind to be organized by the University of Porto and is born from an
initiative of the course of Communication Sciences, University of Porto, in order to boost their
infrastructure and technical and human resources.
Simultaneously, and in association with the University of Coruña and University of Texas at Austin, it seeks
to create a bridge between the various courses in audiovisual and multimedia in the world and establish
itself as a unique platform for display, discussion and distribution of their projects and works.
In 2010, the Nanyang Technological University joins U. FRAME, in an effort for greater disclosure and
greater globalization of the Festival. Aiming to increase the scale of promotion of the festival, we have
contacted universities from all over the world and continue to do so with the intention of cooperation and
promotion.
With each passing year, the aim of this festival is to raise the largest number of participants from the most
diverse corners of the world. For this we hope to count on the support of universities that share with us the
ideals of promoting the work of it's students, putting them in plain sight so that they are given opportunities
for future and greater visibility in a more immediate way.
