The Welcome to the Extraordinary Film Competition is now open for submissions.
Raindance, Europe’s leading independent film festival, has teamed up with InterCasino to bring you a new short film competition. It doesn’t matter if you’re an experienced filmmaker or if you have never picked up a camera before, this competition is open to everyone!

The Challenge: Each film needs to be 40.0 seconds in length or shorter, express something extraordinary, and include the end title card available here: http://raindance.tv/extraordinary/brief
The Prize: A trip to the Cannes 2011 film festival!

The film can be shot on any media and you can submit as many films as you’d like.

The final date for submissions is July 25th 2010 at Midnight GMT. The winner will be announced in August 2010.

There are two sets of prizes up for grabs. First prize will be awarded to the film that is judged by the “Welcome to the Extraordinary” judging panel, with a second prize going to the film that generates the most views on Youtube.
The Second prize winner will receive two tickets to the British Independent Film Awards (BIFA) after-show party

The head of the jury is actor Mathew Horne, well known for the popular TV series “Gavin and Stacey”. Also on the judging panel are film journalist Joe Utichi, Elliot Grove, as well as representatives from Raindance.tv, InterCasino and its competition partners.
