Hi there,

My name is Mike Pierce and I help produce a state wide, sponsorship supported, weekly access show called "Texas Live". We air on all the major cities in Texas (Houston, Austin, Dallas, San Antonio, Beaumont, Ft Worth among others) on the cable access stations.
The reason I am writing you is because we also started a new 30 min. weekly spot called "24 FPS (Frames Per Second)". It is a collection works such as independent films, movie trailers, shorts, music videos and animations to help promote new releases, upcoming artists and the film community. It is moving into its SECOND SEASON, THE AIR DATE TO BEGIN ON NOVEMBER 7, 2003 and to be ongoing.
We are seeking submittals from all filmmakers who might be interested in getting their work aired. We are also asking that an interview of those artists be completed and sent in as well, if possible. To complete the interview process, all you have to do is follow the directions listed below and answer the following interview questions.

If you would like to get a copy of your film, short or animation aired on this show, please submit a copy of your work in the following format:

A Non-returnable tape, MINI-DV format (preferably Sony dv-cam, but Canon or a compatible mini-dv format will do)
Please also add your own interview segment either at the end or beginning of your work.

How: Set up a mini-dv camera to film yourself or have someone film you answering the following interview questions.

PLEASE Do Not Mix Audio! Just the interviewee’s audio only.
The interview will be completed in post-production

Please submit the work with the following:

1) Return with a signed release of liability allowing us to air your work.
2) Answers the following interview questions if you wish to have an interview aired with your work:

Questions for 24fps:
Please keep all answers to 2 mins or less.

1) Why did you decide to make your movie/short/animation/video.
2) Tell us about your work (2min response)
3) Where did the inspiration come from? (2min response)
4) What are your future plans?

We have been lucky enough to receive great submittals by filmmakers such as Ted Irving of Boo Bustuhs @ www.tedtv.com, Richard Soriano of Speed Mating @ www.guerrillafilmmakers.com, R. Michael McHorter of Redemption & Intersection @ tizzyentertainment@juno.com, Zac Adams of School Colors, Spare Change, True Love @ www.cwesley.com, Patrick Green of Butterfly and a Moth, Adrienne Michael Long of Bye, Bye Ink Head, S. Tyler Wilson of Abomination, Hondo Aguilar of The Hondo Show, Berry Levy of Spook, JP Soalfield of Beyond among many other great filmmakers just to name few. It doesn’t cost you anything except a non-returnable Mini-Dv tape and your time to shoot the interview.
If this sounds like something you want to be involved in, then please drop me an email or give me a call for more information or just follow the instructions listed above.
We are also seeking help with funding and distribution for both foriegn and domestic markets. If you have knowledge and could help, in these areas, MANY THANKS WOULD BE GIVEN.

All submittals must be mailed ASAP!
