Has anybody heard of the INternational Festival of Cinima and Technology (IFCT)? Just curious because I sent a film there, and I found out about it becuse someone who works for them saw one of my films on the site and suggested it to me. Did this happen to anyone else?

Yeah it might be a scam like the new york international independent film and video festival. They said they were hyped up about my short and wanted me to submit to them so I did. Didn't get in. But that's just my experience.
Good luck!

yea, I didn't get in either, but it wasn't very expensive so I wasn't worried about it being a scam, but then they said, "Oh yeah, you didn't get in, but we loved your film and we want it for this other NEW festival that will cost 260$." Bogus.

having read that article, I doubt that IFCT is a scam. They don't charge nearly enough, but it doesn't seem like they would be able to do all the things they siad they would to for the ammount they are charging. It just isn't worth it to follow up on. I had decided this before I posted this topic, but I was interested to see if anyone else had heard of the fest.
